Abstract

681,218. Crutches. BOOTH & CO., Ltd., J. April 11, 1951 [April 11, 1950], No. 8932/50. Class 81 (ii). An adjustable crutch is made with two resilient side members 10, 10 rigidly spaced apart at the top by the shoulder support 12 and held together at the bottom by a tubular foot member 26 so as to grip the hand piece 25 between them. The handpiece has projections at each end which engage in corresponding recesses in the side members, there being a number of such recesses so that the position of the hand piece can be adjusted as desired. The foot member 26 carries a rubber foot 29 and its position relative to the side members is variable by means of internal tubular spacers.
