[Also in Groups XVII, XXIII and XXIX] A rotatable knob has a body portion which is symmetrical with respect to its longitudinal axis of rotation, an undulating, peripheral groove extending entirely around the axis of rotation. The basic shape of the body may be elliptical, square or diamond-shaped. As shown in a cylindrical knob, the surface of the cylinder 1 is provided with an undulating groove 6 which is V-shaped in cross-section to afford an easy and effective grip by the fingers.
