Abstract

630,681. Tea-infusers. CHESTER, F. R. July 1, 1946, No. 19623. [Class 129] In an infuser comprising a slidable cover 3 and a spoon-shaped receptacle 1, the cover and receptacle are slightly bowed outwardly with respect to each other by bending their handles 4, 2 towards each other, and the cover is pressed against the receptacle by the edges 4a of the cover handle engaging with corresponding edges of the receptacle handle so that the cover is held resiliently and frictionally in the open and closed positions. A projection 2b on the receptacle is engaged by either the tip of the cover or by a serration 4d to limit the cover movement. To facilitate cleaning the cover tip may be forced over the projection and the cover withdrawn over the receptacle handle.
