601,833. Rolling finned tubes. CALUMET & HECLA CONSOLIDATED COPPER CO. Oct. 4, 1945, No. 25899. Convention date, June 19, 1944. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] Tubing is provided with internal and external integral fins. A tubular blank A with smooth exterior and axially ribbed interior surface is formed by extrusion &c. and is then acted on by rollers E formed of discs of progressively changing section to raise radially external fins C. Twisting.-The external ribbing causes a slight twisting of the internal ribs and also a slight corrugation of the internal surface.
