Abstract

601,753. Rolling finned tubing. CALUMET & HECLA CONSOLIDATED COPPER CO. Oct. 10, 1945, No. 26516. Convention date, Jan. 17. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] Finned tubing is made by rolling simultaneously a plurality of interspersed helical fins from the tube wall. A double helical fin is made by rollers A, B, C, A<SP>1</SP>, B', C<SP>1</SP>, axially positioned by spacers G, H and arranged about the tube. Treble fins may be rolled and the fins may vary in depth.
