Abstract
601,464. Supporting notice-boards. HALL, R. G. June 20, 1945, No. 15716. [Class 3(ii)] [Also in Group XV] A support for temporary information or advertisement boards or other lightweight panels comprises a strut whose foot is held in position by a weight. The strut is pivoted at its upper end to the panel and at its lower end to the foot, which latter consists of a flat bar having upturned projecting parts at each end to receive a weight provided with recesses in at least two opposite sides. Two or more weights may be built into a stack with the foot beneath, and the upper surfaces of the weights may be provided with projections whilst their undersurfaces are provided with complementary recesses. The undersurface of the lowermost weight may be channelled to accommodate the foot while the undersurfaces of both the foot and the lowermost weight may be roughened or serrated. In Figs. 1 and 3, panel 18 is supported by strut 10 having foot 12 on which is placed weight 1. Foot 12 may have a hole 19 in it so that it can be screwed to the ground.
