Abstract

877,881. Ironing tables. STELNICEANU, J. D. Nov. 20, 1959 [Nov. 22, 1958], No. 39403/59. Class 52(3). An ironing board 1 is supported on folding X form legs 5, 7 pivoted together at 8 and with the upper ends of the legs 5 pivoted at 6 to the underside of the board, the ends of the legs 7 being in sliding contact therewith to permit the adjustment of the board height. Adjustment can be effected by a pivoted stay 16 sliding in a trunnioned sleeve 15 carried by the legs 7, a stop pin 19 being insertable in one of a series of holes in the stay, or an adjustable stop 24 can be mounted beneath the board as in Fig. 8. Rollers 11 are preferably provided on the top ends of the legs 7 which are slightly longer than the legs 5. Rubber shoes 12 are provided on the bottom ends of the legs 5, 7.
