Abstract
934,881. Work benches. J. E. GAME. Sept. 27, 1961 [Sept. 15, 1960], No. 31749/60. Class 61. [Also in Group XXV] A work bench having hinged legs at the front edge is adapted to be hinged to a wall or like supporting structure, the whole providing a work-table to be used in a horizontal position or turned upwards into an out of service position of variable angle in which position the legs lie parallel to the working surface. The work-table comprises boards 5, 6, 3 mounted on bracket assemblies which at one end are connected to distance pieces 7 adapted to be pivotally connected to hinge flaps 8 secured to a tool rack 2 on the wall. The legs 4 are hinged to the other end of the bracket assemblies in such manner as to lie flat one behind the other in the stored position. Each leg is provided at its lower end with a sliding bolt 16 which fits into a hole provided in the floor. The bolt 16 secures the leg in stored position by sliding into a hole in a small bracket attached to the opposite bracket assembly. The bench is secured in stored position by a chain 17 anchored to the wall at one end with the free end engaged by a hpok 18 positioned on the underside of the board 3.
