[Class 29] Compression apparatus has the condenser A formed with inner and outer spaced walls e, h enclosing a narrow space i between them to which compressed refrigerant from the rotary compressor B is supplied by a pipe l, the mixture of cooled lubricant and liquefied refrigerant passing through a tube n to a receiver C located within the condenser space. The heavier lubricant settles in the receiver and is returned to the compressor through a passage o, while the refrigerant passes through a pipe c to the evaporator. The condenser receiver and compressor are cooled by air blown by a fan E through cored spaces within the inner barrel e and around the outer barrel h which is provided with fins.
