Abstract

600,783. Pile fabrics; looms. NORTON & CO., LTD., G. H., HASTEWELL, C. H., and IBBOTSON, C. June 15, 1945, No. 15203. [Classes 142(ii) and 142(iv)] In pile fabrics woven face-to-face, the pile warps A, B are looped round a weft C which is subsequently withdrawn (to separate the fabrics) by winding it on a swift U. The weft C is inserted in double picks temporarily held at one side of the loom by a weft catcher. The pile warps are positively delivered by rollers A<SP>1</SP>, B\ driven from the shedding mechanism by gearing E, and pass over rollers K loaded by springs L.
