Abstract

600,004. Pulse generating circuits. SPERRY GYROSCOPE CO., Inc. Jan. 6, 1944, No. 290. Convention date, Jan. 6, 1943. [Class 40 (vi)] A stabilized multivibrator in which the frequency of oscillation is unaffected by variation of supply voltage or anode voltage swing, comprises a pair of triodes with condensers coupling the anode of one valve to the grid of the other, and means for providing a bias voltage for the grid of one stage varying with the anode swing of the other. Variable bias is provided for grid 15 by a rectifier 23 connected to the anode 14 of the other valve through a coupling condenser 31. The condenser 35 is charged to the peak value of the alternating voltage of anode 14, that is half the anode swing, or by operation of switch S1 a second rectifier 23A is included in a voltage doubler circuit. Alternatively, the valves may be provided, Fig. 2 (not shown), with cathode resistors having shunt byepass condensers connected across them and the voltages developed across the cathode resistors be applied as bias potentials to the opposite valve of the pair through grid resistors.
