616,447. Valve generating circuits; limiters. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. Sept. 3, 1946, No. 26444. Convention date, Sept. 3, 1945. [Classes 40 (v) and 40 (vi)] A limiting arrangement comprises a negative feedback amplifier in which the screen is connected to a voltage dividing tap on the anode circuit 2, the maximum output being determined by the D.C. screen potential. The voltage divider may comprise condensers 3, 4, inductances or resistances, the screen current being applied via a choke 5 or a resistance. The arrangement may also be employed in an oscillator circuit to limit the maximum amplitude of oscillation.
