A dough sheet 5 is cut into pieces 6 by moulds 4 of'a roller 1, the moulds 4 being placed at the same angle with respect to the generating line of the roller, but being displaced to each other in adjacent rows, so that the dough pieces 6 fall onto a conveyer band 2 according to a broken line P-Q. The angle at which the moulds are arranged upon the roller corresponds to the angle, which the intermediate conveyer 9 forms with the oven-conveyer 7. The conveyer 9 has a greater speed than the conveyer 2 so that the pieces 6 become arranged with mutual intervals. The skipping position of the dough pieces upon the conveyer 2 is such that the skipping line P-Q is transformed into a straight line upon the conveyer 9 and the lines are at right angles to the direction of movement of the oven-conveyer, 7. The conveyer 9 may be dispensed with. One moulding machine may be used to feed two ovens.
