Abstract

595,508. Seat frames. DALLEY, A. C. J. May 7,1945, No. 11636. [Classes 52(ii) and 52 (iii)] A chair comprises two U-shaped side members 1 upon which the seat 4 is supported by transverse members 2, 9 to permit vertical and angular adjustment and the extensions 5, arranged telescopically on the members 1, support an angularly adjustable back rest 6 the base portion of the chair being provided with drawers 12. Friction locking means 3 as described in Specification 584,110 are provided for locking the member 2 and the extensions 5 in adjusted positions and the member 9 is carried by tubular clamping brackets 10. In a modification, support of the front edge of the seat 4 is dispensed with.
