Abstract

594,885. Moulding hollow concrete &c. blocks. FLACK, F. C. Sept. 6, 1944, No. 17059. [Class 87 (ii)] A moulding box E at top and bottom is subdivided by partitions e<2> into twelve compartments, the base of each compartment being closed, during deposition of concrete therein to form a block, by a loose pallet H which rests on a plate g<1> secured to push rods G carried by a plate n'. Three channels are formed in each block by means of horizontal cores K carried by a plate J and passing through perforations P in the back and front of the box E. When the concrete &c. has been fed into the compartments from a detachable shoot M and vibrated electrically by means of a device Q, the cores K are withdrawn and the plate n' is raised by means of a hydraulic jack B, whereby the blocks are pushed out of the top of the mould.
