Abstract

Moulds.-In moulds of the type comprising an upright back wall l and side walls q, and a structure w forming the front and bottom mounted to turn on an horizontal axis to deliver the moulded block, the structure w is pivoted on a bolt 10 turning in pivot holes t formed in side bars s having turned-round parts secured to the back l. The side walls q are pivoted to the back wall l, this being bevelled at o to form sharp edges on the block when the side walls are closed. The side walls carry bars p having apertures 2 at their forward portions receiving the projecting ends of bars z on the front wall, these projecting ends z being notched to receive verticallysliding locking-bolts 14 mounted on the side walls. A pallet 11 rests against the inner face of the front wall, this being cut away at its ends 12 to enable the moulded block to be lifted when the structure w is unlocked and swung over. The base-plate is slit at intervals 4, and carries two removable pattern plates of such sizes that the space betwen them registers with one of the slits.. A partition plate rests in this space, being held frictionally by the pallet 11 and back wall l. This plate may be pushed out from the moulded blocks through the slit 4 before the moulded block and pallet are removed.
