Abstract
594,044. Driving - mechanism for tricycles. PHILLIPS & CO., Ltd., J. A., and WINSPER, T. June 23, 1945, No. 16079. [Class 136 (ii)] The hub 10 of a tricycle wheel which rotates with the spindle 11 comprises a barrel portion 19 and end pieces 20, 21 the latter of which has an internally screwed reduced bore 23 in engagement with the correspondingly threaded reduced part 16 of the end of the spindle. The end cap 25 screws on to a reduced part of the end piece 21 and encloses a lock nut 27 which screws on to the end 17 of the spindle. The screw threads on the parts 16, 17 are preferably of .opposite hand.
