592,117. Extrusion presses. SIZER, A. W. May 24, 1945, No. 12955. [Class 46] 1 [Also in Groups V and XXX] A machine for extracting liquid from liquidbearing material, such as oil from seeds, comprises a perforated chamber in which rotates a conveyer with worm sections 11, 12, 13 of positive pitch, and worm sections 16 of negative pitch. There may also be provided pair breaker blades 15. The chamber is formed of rings with perforations 8 which are partly blocked by plugs 9. The material may be extruded around a conical plug, or through a die plate in the form of bars which are severed by a rotating knife.
