Abstract
A rust-proofing composition comprises a concentrated aqueous solution of phosphoric acid containing metallic iron or an iron compound other than iron sulphide, and having added thereto hydrogen sulphide from an external source. The hydrogen sulphide may be bubbled through the solution and there may be sufficient present to maintain all the iron in the ferrous state. Specifications 419,487 and 447,176 are referred to.ALSO:A rust-proofing composition comprises a concentrated phosphoric acid aqueous solution containing metallic iron or an iron compound other than iron sulphide, and having added thereto hydrogen sulphide from an external source.
