Abstract

591,732. Hand - operated spray - producers. FOSTER, E. C. H., and LAWSON, W. B. May 11, 1945, No. 11860. [Class 69 (iii)] A spray has a body 1 and a plunger 2 which forces air through non-return valves 7, 13 in a partition 6 and a sleeve 8 respectively, to eject liquid from a container 11 through a nozzle 24. The container 11 is provided with a percolator 15 and may be supported by sleeves 89 attached to the body, and a delivery tube 14 with a fluted end, which enters a surge chamber 25. The delivery tube 14 is carried by the sleeve 9 and the surge chamber is defined by. the partition 6 and the orifice-plates 20, 21 which impart a swirling motion to the spray through small apertures 22 and curved slots 23 respectively.
