590,562. Friction clutches. BORG-WARNER CORPORATION. Oct. 16, 1944, No. 19967. Convention date, Oct. 14, 1943. [Class 80 (ii)] A clutch lever and cover assembly comprises a cover 9, flanged at 11 to be bolted to the flywheel 4, and an operating lever 19 pivoted at 20 between lugs 18 on the pressure plate 7. The lugs 18 pass through an aperture 17 formed by pressing out a lip 15 from the cover, the lip 15 having a perforation 21 in which the lever 19 is fulcrumed. The side edges 14 of the aperture 17 prevent displacement of the pivot pin 20 after the latter has been assembled by elastic deformation of the cover.
