Abstract

<PICT:0589399/III/1> Sheets being fed to a rotary duplicator are moistened by a roller 14 supplied with an ink-solvent by a pad 26. A tank communicates with a pipe 29 fitting telescopically in a tube 30 through holes 32 in which the fluid drops into slots 33 in a housing 28 for the pad. The housing 28 is mounted in a carriage movable across the machine to print from part only of the width of the printing-sheet; the corresponding parts only of the copy sheets are moistened, fluid being cut off from the holes 32 corresponding to the remaining parts, by movement of the tube 30 along the pipe 29.
