[Class 40 (iv)] The flexible surround of the diaphragm of a cone loud-speaker has rigid members, preferably of thin sheet plastic, secured thereto leaving narrow internal and external peripheral portions uncovered, which portions act as simple hinges, reverse bulging of surround being thus prevented.
