587,564. Sparking plugs for turbines. POWER JETS, Ltd., and MEESON, E. L. March 11, 1942, No. 3227. [Class 51 (i)] [Also in Group XXVII] A sparking plug 2 for initiating combustion in a substantially cylindrical flame tube 8 leading to a gas turbine is fitted in an adapter 5 extending across a cooling-air jacket 7 surrounding the tube 8 and having openings 9 for admitting cool unburnt air through the adapter into the combustion space around the electrodes 1, 6 of the plug.
