Abstract

586,284. Automatic noise suppression. GES. ZUR FORDERUNG DER FORSCHUNG AUF DEM GEBIETE DER TECHNISCHEN PHYSIK AN DER EIDGENOSSISCHEN TECHNISCHEN HOCHSCHULE. March 22, 1944, No. 5369. Convention date, March 4, 1943. [Class 40 (v)] In an arrangement for suppressing variable noise potentials accompanying electrical impulses, comprising a main amplifier and a control amplifier branched in parallel for deriving noise suppression potentials, the branch amplifier includes a trigger circuit. The line 9 is connected to the main amplifier, comprising the control valve 6 and cross-connected trigger valves 7, 8. The control amplifier comprises the control valve 11, trigger valves 12, 13 and the rectifier 15. Noise suppression is effected by applying the rectified potential across the rectifier load 18 as bias to the valve 11, and with additional bias from the battery 20 and potentiometer 19 to the valve 6, via the line 17. In an alternative arrangement (Fig. 3, not shown), part of the rectified potential across the resistance 18 is applied to the valve 11 and a greater part to the valve 6, the additional biassing means 19, 20 being omitted. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes arrangements (Figs. 4, 5, Cancelled, not shown) in which both the main and the branch amplifier may comprise circuits which are not of the trigger type. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
