585,535. Crimping pliers &c. AIRCRAFT-MARINE PRODUCTS, Inc. Oct. 27, 1943, No. 27934/45. Convention date, Aug. 17, 1942. Divided out of 585,508. [Class 61 (ii)] A crimping tool for crimping a ferrule on an electrical conductor has opposed crimping jaws 20, 22 each including a slotted portion 40, 42 in its crimping surface thus forming crimps side by side on the ferrule but spaced by the width of the slot, the crimping surfaces 45, 47 on one side of the slot preferably being shallower than the crimping surfaces 44, 46 on the other side so that the crimps formed at the end of the conductor are deeper than those farther from the end. One of the jaws may be provided with a bracket 60 and adjustable stop 64 to locate the terminal while crimping its ferrule in position.
