585,524. Induction machines. BRITISH THOMSON -HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Feb. 26, 1945, No. 4737. Convention date, Feb. 28, 1944. [Class 35] [Also in Group XIX] In an induction machine such as a slip coupling or dynamometer, the smooth surfaced member in which eddy currents are induced is of molybdenum iron alloy. In the dynamometer shown, water or other fluid is circulated between headers 22, 23 through axial passages 21 in the eddy current member 15 which is of alloy containing .2- to 1 per cent molybdenum and a similar amount of silicon. The cooling liquid may be re-circulated after re-cooling.
