Abstract

584,085. Press - button retractive switches. SLEEPER, C. E. Dec. 6, 1944, No. 24386. [Class 38 (v)] An electric starter push-button control comprises an annular flange A through which a mushroom-headed guard B, surrounding a "start" button C, projects. The button C operates a rod E which engages one end of a spring F to close a normally-open contact N. The spring F is secured by a pin G in a side-slot in a moulding M which is fixed to and moves with the guard B. A spring D acting on the guard B normally maintains a part of the spring F in a position wherein it bridges fixed contacts 0, P. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 495,643 and U.S.A. Specification 1,884,569.
