[Class 40 (v)] Radiolocation apparatus normally responsive to pulses reflected from a distant object is arranged to respond also to a continuous-wave transmission which may be sent out for jamming purposes by a tracked aircraft. In one arrangement, particularly for use in the searchlight-control system described in Specification 581,980, the intermediate-frequency amplifier is provided with a change-over switch by means of which the early stages of the amplifier may be normally biassed to cut off, this bias being intermittently removed at pulse frequency by the reference pulses employed for selecting a particular target. The arrangement will also enable an aircraft to use its radiolocation apparatus for homing on a station emitting continuous waves.
