581,318. Knives; razors. HANSEN, L. Sept. 6, 1944, No. 16996. [Class 30] [Also in Group XXIII] A holder for stropping double-edged safety razor blades comprises a plate 10 and a top plate 11 tapered in cross section between which the blade 12 is held with one edge exposed, the plate 10 having a ridge 13 and the plate 11 an elongated slot 14 for locating the blade. The plate 10 has integral therewith a handle 15 provided with a cut away portion 16, loosely encircled by a collar 17, in which is a longitudinal slot 18; the bore of the collar is enlarged at the outer end, and the face 20 is formed, as a helical cam surface. The plate 11 has at its outer end a hook 24, which fits in a slot 23 in the plate 10, the inner end of the plate 11 having a shank 21, which is slid into the collar, so that a projection 22 on the shank 21 is engaged by the cam surface, rotation of the collar drawing the plate 11 lengthwise so that the hook 24 engages the edge of the slot 23, and thus locking the parts together.
