Abstract

581,191. Two-part couplings. REVO ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., FELTON A. E., and MASON, G. G. April 12, 1944, No. 6708. [Class 38 (i)] A multiple plug-pin electric coupling comprises a part a, adapted for mounting on the frame of a cooker for connection to the supply mains, and having a series of spring-loaded terminals b on which abut, through apertures a<3>, the ends of plug-pins j on a part h connected and secured to a heating element of the cooker.' An earthing pin d, in a square aperturea<2>, enters a socket k<1> in a square bush k and guides the parts of the coupling into engagement, whilst a spring clip g engages a fixed nut f so as to lock them in position. The terminals h have square heads which carry the mains connections e and slide in square slots a<4>, their spring-encircled shanks being guided in slots a<5>. The plug-pins j have square or hexagonal-section terminal bodies, and the block h is located on the heater element by square spigots h<2>. A cover a<1> forms one side of the slots a<4>.
