[Class 38 (i)] A connector for an electrical heating appliance, e.g., a flat-iron, provided with supply leads 19, 20, to the element, with aligned terminal pins 49 in a recess 29 comprises a cylindrical insulating casing 27, rotatably mounted on the pins which project into the casing to engage in the forked sections 42, 43 of electrical connectors 39, 40 to which the conductors 37, 38 of a supply cord 35 are connected. To withdraw the connector the screws 45, carrying the pins are removed from the nuts 53 attached to the leads 19, 20. In a modification the casing has slots 68, 69 which receive the fixed pins 66, 67 and permit the casing to be properly positioned with the pins clamped by the forks 64, 65 and then turned so that the slots are nearly at right angles to the normal line of pull of the supply cord, 60.
