Abstract
578,911. Wireless apparatus. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and ESPLEY, D. C. Aug. 26, 1941, No. 10860. [Class 40 (v)] In ultra-high frequency apparatus, means for coupling apparatus to radiating or receiving means so as to allow relative rotation, comprises a pair of concentric lines 1, 2 and 1<1>, 2<1>, each fed by a side line 3, 4 and 3<1>, 4<1> connected at an odd number of quarter-wavelengths from the adjacent open ends which are arranged for relative rotation about a common axis so that the impedance between the open ends is a pure capacity, large compared with the input impedance to either side line. The capacity between the ends of the members 1, 2 and 1<1>, 2<1> may be increased by the attachment of flanges or overlapping portions. Specification 578,737 is referred to.
