578,647. Angularly movable panels. WORCESTER WINDSHIELDS & CASEMENTS, Ltd., and JONES, A. E. E. June 30, 1944, No. 12449. [Class 20 (iii)] In an angularly movable panel the operating means comprise a lever operatively connected to the panel, in combination with an eccentric carried by a rotatable pin or pivot, provided with an operating arm, and a link or plate having a circular aperture engaging the eccentric and connecting it to the lever. In the form shown in Fig. 1. as applied to a hinged rear quarter light of a vehicle, an eccentric 3, whose pivot pin 12 is secured to a handle 5, is located in the plate 10, pivoted at 11 to the short arm 26 of the lever 2 which is pivoted at 6. The long arm 2a of the lever has a pivot pin 7 engaging the slot 8 in the bracket 9 attached to the window frame. The eccentric may be in a plane at right angles to the lever 2, a swivally mounted link 17 connecting the arm 2b to the plate 10 as in Fig. 6. Stops may be provided to limit the opening movement and to prevent the eccentric from turning through more than 180 degrees.
