576,786. Handle fixings. FROUDE, L. F., WATSON, J. J., and FROUDE, W. D. March 18, 1944, No. 5082. [Class 61 (i)] A broom &c. handle 9 is secured in the socket 5 of the head 4 by a dished circular metal plate 7 toothed at 8 all round its periphery which is located in the base of the socket and flattened by driving in the handle so that the teeth 8 dig into the wood around the socket, a screw 10 passed through a hole 6 in the head and driven through a central hole in the plate 7 into the end of the handle fixing the latter to the plate.
