[Class 61 (i)] A broom handle is secured in the socket in the broom head by a sheet metal pressing of U-form, the legs 2 of which are located in the broom head socket and the handle passed through a hole 3 in the crosspiece and driven down between the legs which forces outward projections 4 into the wall of the socket, pressed - up ribs 5 locating the device against the top of the broom head.
