[Class 110 (ii)] A rotary pump, motor, or meter has two crescent-shaped rotors a, b, with peripheral arcs less than half a circle. The rotors are geared together by eccentric gears e, f so arranged that on the rotor tips k, l commencing to interlock, a clearance m, Fig. 3 is provided to prevent trapping of fluid and mechanical contact and, later, to provide an increase in the relative speed of the incoming rotor tip k so that in the change-over position, Fig. 4, the tip of each rotor is in sealing contact with the other rotor.
