Abstract

574,753. Electric heating conductors. TENAPLAS, Ltd., and LEMON, C. G. Feb. 15, 1944, No. 2775. [Class 36] [Also in Group XI] A heating unit comprises one or more spiral conductors 3 braided or interwoven with insulating filaments 2 to tubular form. An indicator strand 6 may be woven alongside any conductor. The unit may surround a core consisting of impregnated cord or string, rubber, or synthetic resin and the core may have one or more passages 8 for Bowden wires or other conductors. The unit may be enclosed in a flexible sheath 4 of polyvinyl chloride &c. and be used for electric blankets and soil heaters.
