Abstract
573,398. Circular looms. SAINT FRERES SOC. ANON. May 30, 1940, No. 9509. Convention date, July 19, 1939. [Classes 142 (i) and 142 (ii)] In a circular loom each warp thread 9, 10 passes through an eye 7, 8 at the top of a vertically sliding rod 3, 4 which is lifted by spring 15 to equalise the tension in the warps during shedding &c., the warp thread forming an acute angle between stationary guides 11, 12. During normal working, the eyes 7, 8 do not rise above the plane A. On warp breakage, the corresponding rod rises and closes an electric circuit between a collar 16 or 17 and the plate 6 to stop the loom. Any rods 3, 4 not in use are held down by hooks 18, 19.
