Abstract

571,328. FaMeads. BERGER, K. Dec. 22, 1943, No. 21455. [Class 78 (v)] [Also in Group XXXIII] A housing 15 is secured to an opening in a hull plate or bulwark and contains a sheave housing 23 rotatably supported by roller bearings and having side walls supporting a sheave wheel 20; a cable passes over the wheel and is retained by a guide roller 36 carried in a swipg frame 38 normally retained in position by a pin but releasable for threading the cable. Stops may limit the extent of rotation of the housing 23 under lateral pull of the cable.
