Abstract

571,283. Conveyers. SPOONER, W. W., June 24, 1943, No. 10179. [Class. 78 (i)] Articles such as rods, tubes or bars which lie on the upper surface of an endless conveyer 2 are held in place by endless belts 13- as the conveyer, passes around end drums 5. The belts 13 pass over a jockey-pulley 15 mounted on a bell-crank lever 16 which is pivoted to the frame and carries an adjustable counterweight 18. The conveyer 3 on to which the articles are delivered passes over a piloted plate 19 which is held up by a couhterweighted lever 20. The conveyer 2 consists of two parallel chains 11, Fig. 2, provided with blocks 9 having sockets 8. for the reception of the ends of the rods 7.
