[Class 83 (iii)] In an inserted blade type of milling cutter or reamer, the wall of each blade slot a against which the blade is clamped is formed with a pattern composed of pyramidal projections d with straight grooves at right angles between the projections ; each cutter blade has one portion g of one face serrated in a direction along the blade and the other portion h serrated in a direction across the blade ; each blade is held in position by a double wedge-shaped clamp engaging an undercut wall k of the slot a. A groove i is formed in the blade between the two sets of serrations.
