In a wire stripping tool having two spring- loaded telescopic hollow rectangular members 10, 11 with slots in their adjacent wide faces in which are fitted notched insulation cutting blades 21, 23; setting screw 18 limits the inward movement of the inner member thus controlling the depth of cut while the outward movement is limited by blade 21 engaging the end of the slot 22 in the outer member.
