An expansible broach for cutting internal grooves comprises a guide key (or keys) 5 for location in a groove in a workpiece to guide a cutting tool 1 to form a similar groove at a predetermined pitch. The tool is similar to that described in Specification 939,685 in which the depth of cut is adjusted by the angular positioning of a slotted sleeve 6.
