Abstract
569,310. Pivot pins. GASKELL & CHAMBERS, Ltd., and WEIGHTMAN, J. S. Oct. 18, 1943, No. 17049. [Class 65 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXIV] In a pivotal bearing for a lever, one or both pivot pins and their sockets are plain and unthreaded, the pins being adjusted by an axial sliding movement and being then locked in adjusted position. Each pin 18 has a conical end 19 or a recess 21 for a ball 20, the lever 10 having a hollow bush 23 with end recesses 22. One pin may be fixed by a pin 26 but one must be adjustable. This latter pin may be locked by a radial set screw 17 or may be actuated and locked by a screw 27 parallel to the axis of the pin, this screw having a flanged head 28 engaging the stepped end 29 of the pin
