Abstract

[Class 140] [Also in Group XV] A device for diseasing adhesive tape or strip from a roll comprises a liquid container 2, a moistening pad 8 backed into a well 7 on the nose of the container 2 and fed therefrom through one or more apertures or slits 9 in the bottom part or flood of the well 7, a support 4 for the roll and a severing or cutting device 10 constructed and shaped so that the device may be carried and presented to the work by hand. A filling aperture 5 with a liquid-tight stopper 6 is provided for the container 2 and, instead of resting on the shaped portion 4 of the device as shown, the roll may be supported in brackets attached to the sides. A guide 12 guides the paper adjacent to the moistening pad 8, to permit its ready presentation area to the work. The upper surface of the pad may be covered by a layer of felt or like material provided with slits or cuts.
