567,592. Collapsable wardrobes &c. BUCHANAN, A. Sept. 6, 1943, No. 14498. [Class 52 (i)] A collapsable wardrobe or like article of furniture comprises a pair of wooden side frames each consisting of two wooden side posts connected by upper and lower wooden crossrails and metal tie rods, a wooden roof frame interfitting with the tops of the side frames, longitudinal wooden rails or a metal tie rod joining the side frames at their lower ends and a metal tie rod which may be used as a support for coat hangers joining the upper cross-rails of the side frames. As shown, the side frames consist of upright members 6 the tops of which interfit with the wooden roof frame member 11, wooden spars 7 and metal tie rods 8. The longitudinal wooden spars 19 joining the lower ends of the side frames may be replaced by a metal tie rod (not shown). The roof, sides and back are covered with any suitable flexible or inflexible sheet material or may be filled in with detachable panels 22. The front may be closed with a curtain or have doors fitted.
