Abstract

A knock-down cupboard is of rectangular box form and has a tubular steel sub-framework. The sub-frame subdivides into individual lateral frames (2a,2a,4a,5a) and longitudinals (7 to 10). The latter push fit onto spigots (12a etc.) on the frame spigots to obtain the assembled cupboard frame. The longitudinals are on the top and bottom horizontal and longitudinal edges of the assembled cupboard. The assembly is secured by roof (11) and floor panels which are fixed to respective longitudinals (7, 8) and the top (4a,4b) or bottom horizontal members of the lateral frames. At least one of the lateral frames has door hinge pins (21a), fitted to a front post (2a). Side panels (6a,6b) may be pre-fixed to the lateral frames, and similarly (11) to the two top longerons (7,8). The rear panel may be of vertical strips joined by 'H' section elements.
