Abstract

567,558. Gas storage vessels. HARRIS, W. G., and BIRD, O. H. Aug. 12, 1943, No. 13074. [Class 8 (ii)] A gas storage vessel 1 is made as a tubular ring of metal with valves and gauges on the central side of the ring, and is provided with spokes 4 with curved feet 6 seating on the inside of the ring, one or more being removably mounted on its spoke for assembly or dismantling. Pairs of wheels so formed are connected by axles mounted on linked chassis 10 to form a train. Tyres may be fitted to the wheels for road travel. The vessel may be formed in arcuate sections welded together, or with internal transverse partitions.
