Abstract

422,996. Vehicle-suspension systems. BROUSSOUSE, F. L., Logis du Plantier Garat, Charente, France. Feb. 26, 1934, Nos. 6232 and 6233. Convention dates, Feb. 24, 1933 and June 29, 1933. [Class 108 (ii)] A vehicle is suspended on longitudinally arranged laminated springs connected to the axle 12 by means of a cradle comprising a bed plate 5 and pivoted links 8, 9 such that the cradle can make lateral dis - placements combined with an elementary rotation. The springs may be slung under the axle and the length and angle of convergence of the links may be combined with the width of wheel track, diameter of the wheels and minimum clearance above the ground so that the suspended mass will oscillate, approximately, about an axis situated at the level of the ground.
